These programmes include Interreg IVc, the Ireland-Wales programme, the Atlantic Area programme, and the North West Europe Programme. CMI’s task was to examine the drivers and barriers to participation in each programme, assess the management and delivery of the programmes, identify the potential levels of future demand, and the needs for development. This research included extensive engagement with stakeholders across Wales including business, HE, local authority and third sector organisations). This engagement included structured telephone interviews of all participant organisations (an 80% response rate was achieved), alongside eight workshops for both participant and non-participants. The research was commissioned to identify opportunities for it to support further participation in future rounds of European ETC funding Client: Wales European Funding Office.
