CMI appointed to conduct an evaluation of the Global London trade development programme, delivered by the UKTI to SMEs in London, with funding from ERDF.
The evaluation, aimed to raise awareness and support SMEs new to international trade, included access to existing and amended UKTI programmes and resources such as the International Trade Advisor Network.
The final evaluation research included management and delivery interviews, interrogation of programme monitoring data, two beneficiary workshops and a final survey (65 web responses and 10 telephone interviews). Key areas of analysis included gross outputs, net impacts, value for money, cost benefit analysis and strategic added value. The final evaluation identified strengths, weaknesses and future lessons. The approach adopted was fully consistent with the London ERDF Evaluation Guidance.
