Forfas, Irelands economic policy making body, commissioned CMI to review comparative practices in innovation in services and business processes policy and practice.
The study was intended to inform the Irish government working group development research, development and innovation (RD&I) supports for this area. The research comprised detailed comparative analysis of 14 policy measures in four main areas: business and applied RD&I, research programmes, clusters and networks, and strategy/policy. An eSurvey of business practices and support needs in Ireland was also undertaken (42) responses, as well as stakeholder interviews with the key Irish agencies for RD&I. The final report will be published by Forfás and discussed at a CMI –facilitated workshop.
